Music is so powerful. It amazes me that I can go thirty or forty years without hearing a particular song, then I hear three notes and remember the tune, the words, and often a particular situation.
"Christian" music is always problematic as folks confuse preferences with convictions. Agreed, some "Christian" music (both modern and some old hymns) is also problematic theologically. None of us have this thing figured out totally.
On this Good Friday...especially for less seasoned readers (translation - younger)...I'm dropping some old, to me, classics. Hope you enjoy them!
Here is Keith Green in 1982...just a few weeks before he, two of his children, (one named Josiah which is why my first born is named Josiah - and in 1984 there weren't many Josiahs around) and a missionary family (parents and six children died in a plane crash later attributed to pilot error....the aircraft was overloaded (12 passengers with only 8 seats):
